Update: I’m out. I’m totally reversing the position I expressed in the headline of this post, which is, I suppose, why they have campaigns – so that we can learn more about candidates that we initially might admire. Turns out that, at least according to a few sources, Ron Paul might be a racist that doesn’t “accept” evolution (because it’s only a “theory”.) Ouch. I take it all back.

AMEN. i don’t know why a lot of the running people dont have views like this man. Its a plus to bring a fresh and realistic view. to the table. A lot of the candidates here are stating”we are FOR the people” but it turns out to be bullshit. Although- i have to say, someone like this man coming into office- would shake up the US by putting new ideas and views into play. I would back him- but understand the chaos theory would be put into play cause a lot of Americans would be lost cause they don’t have the typical ways the government has been run to lean on. It seems like Americans follow a cookie-cutter government and they can’t think outside the box. Sad huh?

[...] Some of you may have even seen the original post I made about how much I liked Ron Paul, updated with a retraction some time ago when I learned about a newsletter published under his name that was filled with racist commentary. Then the mainstream media got wind of that story (Wolf Blitzer on CNN interviewed Paul about it) and it really started to muddy the waters for Paul. [...]
