In my trips to Africa, I have seen many unbelievable things. But this—this footage is beyond any of them.
It tells me two things: first, nature is beautifully unpredictable. And second, the power of documenting man’s environment no longer belongs to conglomorates but is in the hands of everyone. This incredible footage wasn’t shot by a news network or heavily-funded documentarian; it was uploaded to YouTube by a tourist.

Hey Jesse, you old Bingo Nutter!
This is an incredible video, I was on the edge of my seat.
Get in touch, its been 16 years, and your ears mst be burning. My son starts drum lessons tomorrow with Lorne!
Well son of a gun – Peter, old bean – great to hear from you! I’ll drop you a line – wish you hadn’t mentioned the 16 years part; it suddenly made me feel very, very old.
Your son studying with Lorne?! Couldn’t get a better teacher.
But how come he’s not tickling the 88′s – that way the lessons would be free :)
indeed….this is another beauty of nature
You can say that again! It’s like the wildlife version of “300″.
